Similar to the Chinese art of Acupuncture, this healing modality employs finger pressure, rather than needles, on the energy (chi) blocks, located within the Chi Meridians, which carry the Chi Energy or life force throughout the body. The free flowing Chi helps to maintain optimum good health.

Discovered in China at least two thousand five hundred years ago, during inter clan/tribe warfare. In these circumstances, as the story goes, they were shooting each other with bows and arrows. Many were wounded, and upon recovery, also recovered from the various ailments they had previously been afflicted with. The early Chinese studied these phenomena, and created a complete map of energy meridians of the entire body. At various points, where energy or Chi blocks are evident, fine needles are placed strategically, and in some cases twirled with the fingers, or a mild electric current is passed through them. This helps to stimulate the blocked area and allow the free flow of chi energy. According to this philosophy, any block of chi energy causes illness. This modality is extremely effective where there is pain and energy imbalance.

Akasha is Sanskrit for ether, and it is within this Etheric state of being that the records of everything that has been, is, and the future (the potential thereof) are recorded. The Akashic Records can be accessed by those who are either trained, or have a natural affinity, and have universal permission to do so. These readers are able to provide you with information that will assist you with unresolved issues of the past, and past lives, and also with issues you are presently occupied with. The future, as well as the present, and past can be altered by your choice of intent, and free will. Time is a continuum, which is illusory in its artificial nature. Understanding this will enable you to change your reality on this continuum by enlightened intent. Therefore, the information contained in these sacred records can be of invaluable assistance in your own growth of consciousness.

Uses essential oils extracted from nature’s herbs and flowers. The aroma is inhaled, or applied to the skin, and each of the oils (or combination thereof) addresses a specific disorder. It appears that the body is able to utilize the healing properties of the oils through the olfactory system of the body, and so initiate the healing process. Aromatherapy practitioners would also have an understanding of the psychological and emotional factors of illness.

Is the science, which is able to interpret the influences of the heavenly bodies on human beings and their affairs. Just as it is known that the moon has a profound influence on our oceans’ tides, so are humans affected in a similar way. We are, after all, about 80% water. Using the birth or natal chart, which maps the positions of the planets at the time of birth, is each individual's information derived. The interpretation of the chart includes the understanding of the relationships between planets and the signs of the zodiac. Including the area of the chart in which they will fall, symbolic factors, the location of birth, which assists in the examination of the different levels of the emotional and spiritual psychology, and physiology of the individual. Astrology can help someone to explore deeper individual potential and meaning, to see how aspects of the personality may be integrated. This facilitates an understanding of the cycles of life and creation, thus promoting ways to achieve the greatest practical application and fulfillment from the energies symbolized in the chart.

Is from India, and is more than 5,000 years old. "Ayur" means life and "Ved" means knowledge. This holistic science is the knowledge of complete balance of the Body, Mind and spirit, including the emotions and psychology, on all levels. It includes in its consideration, longevity, rejuvenation and self-realization therapies through herbs, diet, exercise, yoga, massage, aromas, tantras, mantras, and meditation. According to Ayurvedic tradition health is the balance of elements air, earth, fire, and water-and illness is as excess or deficiency of any particular element. Ayurveda treats illness at its source, rather than at the level of symptoms, and helps an in individual to take responsibility for their own health and well-being.

Dr. Edward Bach, an Englishman, developed his remedies to help an individual with their ailment, and also help raise their conscious awareness. Dr. Bach discovered the Seven Nosodes, which are a type of intestinal bacteria that is used as a vaccine in the approach to helping chronic illness. In essence Dr. Bach realized that “dis-ease” was the result of a conflict between the soul, mind and body. This dis-ease resulted from two very fundamental source errors: 1) Disharmony of the soul and personality, and, 2) Cruelty or wrong done unto others. This conflict, Bach recognized, originated from the ego. The most basic cause of illness and disease are mental-emotional defects, such as: pride, cruelty, hate, ego, ignorance, instability and greed. However, Dr. Bach also knew that these “conditions” were opportunities for soul growth, and this realization helped transmute any “negative,” life damaging energy into “positive,” life enhancing energy. Dr. Bach studied the great healers, especially Dr. Hahnemann, the creator of Homeopathy, and after much research, finally arrived at the conclusion that the different personalities of the bacteria seem to relate to the different personalities of an individual person. The Flower Remedies help individual personalities (people) deal effectively with ailments at their root cause and also help to elevate them to a higher vibrational frequency of consciousness, in an easy, natural and safe manner.

Is the means by which one can monitor how one functions on a physical and emotional level, by using a simple, non-invasive electronic means of monitoring these functions. This method provides useful information, and signals the change that we initiate with intent, to alter any inappropriate circumstance or condition, like lowering blood pressure. Biofeedback instruments record continuous information about subtle changes in physiological stress responses (such as muscle tension, temperature, respiration, skin resistance or heart rate). Using this information, various guided relaxation techniques are employed to control the appropriate symptoms, which can include anything from anxiety to muscle spasms.

Using a microscope fitted with a camera, a blood cell sample is examined. The results are displayed on a television monitor for examination In this way one can see the conditions within their blood, and thus giving rise to apply the appropriate remedy. This process emphasizes, in a visual, clear, concise manner, the need for life-style changes including proper nutrition and possible nutritional supplementation.

Brain Gym describes a specific set of movements, processes, programs, materials, and educational philosophy. It is a registered trademark of the Educational Kinesiology Foundation (Brain Gym® International) in Ventura, California, USA.

Breath is life, and many people fail to breathe correctly. There are a variety of modalities that are available, which direct these breathing techniques for physical, mental or spiritual health. For example, calm, methodical breathing is used for relaxation and forceful breathing for emotional release. Many forms of Breath Work are currently practiced include Rebirthing, Holotropic and Pranic Breathing, even different forms of yoga, such as Kriya Yoga, etc.

This is a gigantic subject. Taoist healing techniques may well be the oldest treatise on holistic healing in our modern world (within the last ten thousand years). The Yellow Emperor, the father of Taoism developed the Yang Shen Shu, or The Tao of Revitalization about six thousand years ago. This was a system of internal organ exercises to maintain the correct balance of Qi (Chi or Energy, Life Force). Also during this time the knowledge of plants, trees, fungi and herbs, together with the wisdom of application was developed to a very high degree. The Chinese have always been in the forefront of holistic medicine with the well-practiced philosophy of preferring prevention rather than cure. This comprehensive system looks to the complete person, as body, mind and spirit, and maintaining the balance thereof. The basis of Chinese Medicine is the balance of Yin and Yang Energies. The balance of the dualistic polarities is the cornerstone of our physical creation, in an unenlightened state of consciousness. SEE CHI KUNG AND TAI CHI.

Or “Energy Control,” dates back to over 4,000 years, and is the art of developing and utilizing universal energy that is necessary for good health, vitality, mind expansion and spiritual development. It is the sacred art of self-healing through the practice and experience of working and being the life force energy. There are many varieties and different forms of this powerful form of self-healing, and raising of consciousness, which are an integral part of Chinese medicine, even to this day. Being such an ancient practice, it was developed in the monasteries, and was a major contributor to a number of the martial arts of today. It is a means by which one can balance the Qi, or Chi, or Life Force Energy, within the body, mind and spirit, to attain and maintain good health, calmness, and raise consciousness. It can be seen as meditation in motion, using postures, physical movements, and breathing, all in a very gentle fashion. When the Qi is developed remarkable things happen. You only have to read about the Qi Gong Masters, of whom such a guiding light, is Yan Xin, and many others. Their abilities and healing attributes are phenomenal.

Is yet another aspect of the comprehensive approach that Ancient China developed thousands of years ago. This aspect has its roots in Qi Gong (Chi Kung). It develops the life force energy to such a high degree, that it raise the vibration of the practitioner to such a level that the recipient is influenced to do likewise, in their own self-healing. This requires no touch and reaches beyond space and time. In this way the practitioner is not limited in the application, and a recipient can receive the benefits remotely, anywhere. By working with and on the level of Universal Life Force, what may be perceived as miracles, occur with regularity.

“For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction,” says a law of physics. When a vertebra becomes misaligned (subluxation) due to an external pressure, the Chiropractor can restore the alignment by applying an opposite pressure in the appropriate manner to correct the misalignment. Subluxation of the vertebra can cause pressure on spinal cord nerve tissues, interfering with the nerves’ ability to conduct impulses to other tissues and organs, thus directly affecting one's overall health. See also below Chiropractic-Network and Kinesiology.

Promotes self-healing based on healing cycles and practices developed by Donald Epstein, D.C. The "network" of independent chiropractic offices utilizes the combined methods of the' chiropractic profession, and the specific sequencing of chiropractic adjustments, of light touch and structural adjusting techniques. This precise positioning of the patient frees mechanical tension and interference from the spinal systems hr self-correction that gently and gradually awakens an innate intelligence to more fully express heath.

Purified water is gently introduced into the colon through sterilized tubes in order to flush out toxins, gas, accumulated matter and mucus deposits along the walls of the colon. Disease always accompanies toxins and when these toxins are reduced by aiding their elimination, the body’s immune system is helped considerably. The function of the intestines is to absorb nutrients, and eliminate body waste, thus water used for colon hydrotherapy can include vitamin or mineral additives to aid the corrective process and help prevent disease. The results of a hydrotherapy session are increased energy, reduced craving for junk food, and overeating, since absorption of nutrients is increased when the encrustation on the colon wall are cleaned. Other beneficial conditions can include: constipation, a sluggish liver, headaches, flatulence, skin disorders, asthma, allergies, fatigue, depression, candida, as well as addictions to food or substance abuse.

Works by helping the body’s natural healing mechanisms dissipate the negative effects of stress on the central nervous system. The CranioSacral System consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It extends from the bones of the skull, face and mouth, which make up the cranium, down to the sacrum, or tailbone area. CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle method of detection and correction that encourages your natural healing mechanisms to reinstate the balance of the central nervous system. In the 1900s, Osteopathic Physician, William Sutherland observed that the bones of the skull were structured to allow for movement. In 1970, Dr. John E. Upledger further observed the rhythmic movement of the CranioSacral system during the performance of surgery, and was soon to understand how a hydraulic system using cerebrospinal fluid might function inside a membranous sac encased within the skull and spinal canal. He therefore incorporated and refined Dr. Sutherland’s techniques with success. Later he led a team of physiologists, biophysicists and bioengineers to test and document the influence of therapy on the CranioSacral system. The natural movement of this fluid and soft tissue can be treated in such a way as to help the body self-correct. CST can be applied to a wide range of conditions.

Dates back to Incan, Egyptian, Mayan, Atlantean, and Lemurian Civilizations. In this healing practice, quartz crystals, and other stones and crystals are placed on and around the body to stimulate and sensitize subtle vibrational patterns, release energy blockages, and harmonize vibrational frequencies. Crystals are used to draw and amplify light and color to the body's aura, thus raising its vibrational frequency, and facilitate healing. The emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual effects of such work are moving and profound. Quartz Crystals can also be used to record dreams and other information when programmed to do so.

Is an ancient technique of creating a long cone or funnel usually out of cotton muslin, which has been soaked in paraffin or bees wax, and various herbs. This was practiced by ancient civilizations such as, the Aztecs, Incas, Mayans, Native Americans, and more recently in Europe. The Ear Cone or Candle is about one foot long, and the narrow end fits into the ear of the person lying on their other side. The candle is lit at the far end, the heat of which creates a “chimney effect,” which cause the hot air to rise, and thus creates a vacuum with the ear. This is sufficient to lift out any fungus, yeast infection, wax, bacteria, or the sloughed off cells that accumulate within the ear canal and Eustachian Tube. This healing art is extremely profound, for it is reputed to initiate a healing process that continues for several days after the coning. This can alleviate allergies, sinus conditions, hearing loss, earaches, tinitus and balance problems. The process also helps to balance cranial fluids, and drain the lymphatic system. Please note that it is recommended that a trained practitioner should carry out this process for you, or at least learn the technique.

Is the art and practice of realigning, balancing, and re-attuning the body’s electro-magnetic energy field, in relation with the subtle bodies. Everything in creation is energy, and we, as energy, relate to it harmoniously or inharmoniously depending upon the degree to which we are in a balanced state of harmony within ourselves. It is preferable to “flow” with these energies and enjoy the state of “synchronicity” described by Carl Jung.

FENG SHUI (pronounced Fung Schway)
Also known as Geomancy, is the art of placement. The meaning of which, is literally, “wind and water.” It was studied and developed in China about 4,000 years ago. Everything in creation is “energy.” The natural elements have their own electro-magnetic energy field, just like humans do. These magnetic fields interact with each other, and with awareness we can harmonize them, and in this harmony everything can serve its purpose for the highest good of the individual and the whole. Natural elements and electromagnetic energies do affect the quality of people's lives. The ancient Chinese learned how to live in harmony with these forces in order to maximize their health, wealth and harmonious relationships. This art form is used to locate the most suitable site for a new building, to make simple interior adjustments and major architectural choices for homes and places of business. An office with improved Feng Shui can help increase internal and external harmony, productivity and income, more harmonious relationships, resolve conflicts and help one feel more energized in life.

Is experienced in a flotation tank, which is a specially designed chamber containing sufficient salt-saturated water to enable one to float. In this sate of suspension one can free the mind from outside stimuli by creating a relaxed and unencumbered state. The participant lies in the super-saturated-salty water, which has tremendous buoyancy, and by absorbing the force of gravity; one floats effortlessly, thus allowing the mind and body to release tension. Floating weightlessly in a sound and lightproof environment can be a unique and liberating experience relieving stress and enhancing the ability to concentrate.

Also known as EFT.    EFT is a powerful new discovery that combines two well established sciences so you can benefit from both at the same time – 1) Mind Body Medicine; 2) acupuncture (this new version does not require needles--anyone can do it). There is voluminous scientific evidence that each of these methods, applied by itself, can provide impressive relief.  But when you combine them both with EFT, a profound synergistic effect is possible.

Also known as Guided Meditation or Guided Visualization. This experience is achieved by listening to the narration given by a practitioner guiding the visualization or “journey,” or by listening to an audiocassette tape or CD. In this way one follows specific suggestions or images directed towards a desired outcome. The experience allows one to travel within the mind to areas of beauty and peace, and further allows the individual to release any stress and tension. Even though it is a mental process on the conscious thinking level of the mind, it can enable one to experience more subtle states or perception. It is a therapeutic process, by which the individual may enhance the innate healing potential within. The power of the imagination evokes a positive mind/body response, and can over-ride any negative influences that may be prevalent. The healing powers of imagery can affect one physically, mentally and emotionally and tap into a rich reservoir of inner resources. This technique is also being used in sports and business as well as in many areas of healthcare.

Hands-On-Healing is also referred to as “Laying on of Hands” and is a tradition that may go back at least 15,000 years with variations within particular spiritual traditions, cultures and time. It is to heal with touch, sometimes known as “the Divine Touch”. The healer works with both the physical and spiritual bodies clearing and strengthening the communication between them, which translates to one’s own state of  physical and spiritual health. The healing serves to release energies that interfere with health and wellness. This is considered by some to be a form of blessing, as the healer helps to hold a sacred space, allowing the person being healed to begin to generate their own innate physical and spiritual healing energy and abilities.

The heart's connection with love and other positive emotions has survived throughout millennia and across many diverse cultures. New empirical research is providing scientific validation for this age-old association.  HeartMath refers to the company that developed tools to enhance overall health; based on the crucial link between emotions, brain function, and heart rhythms. Used in the healing energy light process for correcting psychological problems.

Also known as HERBALISM, is found in practically all the ancient cultures throughout the world, and utilizes plants and trees, and their derivatives for preventative and curative medicine. It is recognized that herbs constitute the oldest form of healing therapy that we know of. The Whole Herb retains the subtler ingredients and energies necessary to balance the active elements, while transporting the balanced substances into the body, which can be a healing catalyst so effectively. Herbs are prepared for internal and external use in various ways, including teas, tinctures, extracts, oils, ointments and compresses. Herbal therapy is used to strengthen the immune system, and heal the body naturally.

Describes the perspective that considers all parts of the body, mind and spirit as a Whole, and is treated as such. Cause and not effect is duly considered the pathway to cure, utilizing non-invasive, and a natural means, which is more inclined to be in harmony with the Whole.

Discovered and developed more than 150 years ago by a German physician named Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, who became disenchanted with the medical status quo of his time, and sought alternative methods of healing. He discovered that when introducing a medicine, which produced the same symptoms of the illness, the disease disappeared. Thus was born the concept of the Law of Similars, when “like cures like.” Homeopathy utilizes minute doses of natural remedies that are created from herbal, mineral and animal substances. The substance is diluted with a lactose base or similar, and the dilution process is called “trituration.” The potency depends upon the number of times the substance has been triturated, and strange as it may seem, the more it is diluted, the more potent it becomes. Here we can see that the energy of the substance plays a significant role. The more subtle it becomes, the more powerful its effect. Dr. Hahnemann discovered that illness or its symptoms are not to be suppressed, since they represent the body's efforts to repel disease. It has been learned that the suppression of symptoms leads to an exacerbation of the illness, while the rapid and gentle expression of symptoms leads to cure. It appears that Homeopathy has special licensing laws in Arizona, Connecticut and Nevada, but is widely practiced throughout Europe, and also in India. In London the Royal Homeopathic Hospital has been established for a long time, of which Prince Charles been a patron.

A state in which the practitioner has accessed the subconscious mind in order to address the condition that influences a particular activity or attitude. It may be regarded as a trance-like state, which is artificially produced. This state allows the subject to bypass the limitations of dealing with and healing anything which has been suppressed, repressed, and in many situations, unresolved elements from previous lives (past life recall). The subject is susceptible to suggestions by the practitioner, to help the subject heal, even the most traumatic of conditions.

Is the science of reading the iris (colored part of the eye). Accordingly, the iris maps the condition of the body, mind and emotions in a particularly comprehensive manner. It is a comprehensive study, and has been proven to be extremely accurate. There are several schools of thought on this subject, but are unified in the ability to enlighten everyone of their condition. There was a case, where the iris revealed that the subject showed signs of a malfunctioning liver. This person was brown eyed, and had dark brown hair, and within a relatively short time, after a liver cleanse with herbs, his eyes started to change color. They are now hazel, with a blue ring around the outside edge of each iris. It appears that the sludge produced by the ailing liver caused the pigmentation of the iris to change color.

The body is regarded as being the repository of a knowing on a very deep and subtle level. The body can only acknowledge truth. It also comprises an intricate network of interconnective nerves, in a matrix that, when and if any part is affected by anything, the whole feels that effect. In this way truth creates a positive impulse resulting in muscle integrity and strength, whereas that which is untrue creates the opposite effect. In this sense, when a question is put to the body that would solicit a yes or no answer, the body reacts in such a way that confirms the truth. This is also extremely effective for situations external to one’s body, and can also be quite remotely located, as distance is no barrier. Such is the ability and power of the body to communicate on a universal level. In Chiropractic terms there are several schools of thought, but in all cases the body will show, with the use of Kinesiology, where there is a weakness.

This Japanese philosophy is known in the West by its dietary principles and practice of whole foods cooked in a prescribed way, and in accord with required combinations. High fiber is generally accepted as a tenet, based on organically grown food. This philosophy is a commitment to a particular regime that involves many considerations that are brought into balance. Including, being aware of our own individual part that we play in this physical world, and accordingly achieve a broader, fuller sense of Self in relation to the Whole. Balance is encouraged within ourselves, with the food the body imbibes, and with the world. In this way a synchrony between these diverse elements is established, resulting in a unified way of living. Most importantly, a synchrony is established between the practitioner and the food.

Magnetics is an understanding of the relationship between magnetism in the traditional sense, and the electro-magnetic energy fields of the human body, in relation to electro-magnetic energy elsewhere in the environment. By using this understanding, and applying various techniques and practices, one can influence the energy fields of the body in such a way as to help facilitate healing of various conditions. Magnetic Therapy Treatments include the use of non-invasive magnets applied to the body affecting its various ionic currents and electromagnetic fields. Reported benefits include relief from discomfort, reduction of swelling, infection, insomnia, stress, rheumatism, and can also help to increase energy. It is advised that a knowledgeable, experienced practitioner be consulted, so as not to adversely affect your electro-magnetic fields.

Massage is one of the oldest healing arts: Chinese records dating back 3,000 years document its use. Today, the benefits of massage are varied and far-reaching. As an accepted part of many physical rehabilitation programs, massage therapy has also proven beneficial for many chronic conditions, including low back pain, arthritis, bursitis, fatigue, high blood pressure, diabetes, immunity suppression, infertility, smoking cessation, depression, and more. Massage also helps relieve the stress and tension of everyday living that can lead to disease and illness.

The concept of meditation originated in the East, primarily in India, where formal techniques are taught and learnt. In the West this word seems to have a generic meaning, whereby it can almost mean anything. However there are several types of this practice. One is the technique of concentration, which can best described as focusing the mind on a particular value in a constant manner, with extreme intent. This can be illustrated by the chanting of monks, where a phrase or refrain is repeated for long periods of time. This technique appears to have been adopted by those who are usually in a monastic way of life, and who spend long hours in this practice. It does actually work by the mind being released from such control after a period of time, and then transcends itself to experience the transcendent. The same applies to extreme concentration techniques, like clearing the mind of thoughts, or staring at a candle. Then there is the technique of contemplation, which seems to be the most common technique in the West. This practice keeps the mind on the conscious thinking level, but at times there is an experience of the transcendent, but can be short-lived, as the conscious mind is so active, and is encouraged to stay with those thoughts. There are many variations to this type of mindfulness, and many different visualizations can be adopted, including and not limited to breathing techniques. The intent is for union with one’s source (the Transcendental Nature of Existence), and is highly recommended. See TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION and YOGA, and QI GONG/CHI KUNG, TAI CHI CHUAN.

Is a scientific technique used to bring about structural homeostasis (balance) between the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. In order to achieve this, the physiological principles that govern the performance of both systems are analyzed. The five principals of Neuromuscular Therapy are: Ischemic (lack of blood vessels), Trigger points (low neurological activity, when stimulated or stressed become high activity, accompanied by tingling, burning/cold sensations), Nerve Compression/Entrapment, Postural Distortion, and Biochemical Dysfunction.

A psychic receives information from Spirit, and in accordance with universal permission, and the permission of the recipient, is able to provide information and guidance to the recipient. There are also occasions where the psychic can also be a catalyst for the stimulation of the innate healing energy within the recipient. The psychic healer is also able to receive information from spirit about the causes of a person's challenges in life, be it physical, emotional or spiritual. Normally, it is the healer's intent to assist the recipients to utilize and maximize their own innate healing potential.

Are given by someone (called a psychic) who is able to receive information through the development of expanded awareness, heightened perception and intuition. These spiritual abilities include clairvoyance (seeing), clairsentience (feeling), clairaudience (hearing), and mental telepathy (thought communication). Psychics may, in accordance with universal and individual permission granted, and spiritual law, access levels of information that may be of practical and spiritual guidance for the recipient. This would possibly relate to one’s occupation or relationship concerns, and provide spiritual insight and understanding of an individual’s life path, and karmic issues. Psychic readings may tell you about your past lives and what bearing they may have on the present. They can clarify the present and relate what might happen in the future. Remember, every psychic can only see the potential, as each and every one of us has free will at any given moment, to alter our reality anytime. Individual psychics reflect their own individual style and personality, which invariably are influenced by their own karmic path, training and spiritual beliefs. Readings can be done in person, in a group, or over the phone. In the United Kingdom there is the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain, with affiliated centers all over the country, and similarly, there is such an organization in the United States of America.

Also known as ZONE THERAPY, is the practice of massaging the feet, where it is understood all the energy meridians of the body are represented, together with many nerve endings that also relate to much of the body and organs. The hand and ears are regarded in the same way. In either case, specific areas on the hands, feet and ears correspond to specific areas of the body and organs. In this sense, there is a similarity in philosophy to acupuncture and acupressure. Massaging of the feet in a particular way helps to break up crystalline deposits that “block” the meridian energy flow, which affects the corresponding part of the body or organ. It is a relaxing experience, and helps the body to regain its balance and good health.

Means "Universal Life-Force Energy," and was created by Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan, about 150 years ago. Hi was disillusioned with the standard medical procedures of his time, and set out on a journey to find something, that to him was on a higher level of healing. His travels took him to Tibet, where he found ancient texts of healing, with symbols of an extremely spiritual method of healing. It is told that while descending a mountain in Tibet, he twisted his ankle, and prompted by what he had learned, applied this ancient method and healed his ankle. Upon returning to Japan, he formulated this modality into a method that he called “Reiki.” The “Rei” means universal, and “ki” means energy. It is understood that all of creation is energy, and when in particular the body is manifesting symptoms of disease, dis-ease, or is injured in any way, the universal energy flow is impeded, and the body is not able to maintain its natural state of optimum good health. The Reiki practitioner places the hands directly on the recipient, or a few inches above the recipient’s body, without physical contact. In fact Reiki can be sent over great distances by thought and intent. Such is the nature of Universal Healing Energy. The Reiki practitioner acts as a “bridge” to enable the transference of universal energy from source to reach the recipient, which them helps and stimulates the ability of the recipient to complete their own healing. We are, after all, part of universal energy, and are able to heal ourselves, but in many cases we require the assistance of others to help us bypass our own energy blocks. Reiki can be very effective for just about any and every ailment and disorder. It is a marvelous method to maintain the balance of the emotions, and the body. Anyone can learn this technique, by finding a Reiki Master Teacher, and receiving the attunements, while learning the modality. It is also effective to apply this healing modality to oneself.

Using sound and music for healing purposes.

Everything in creation is vibration in varying frequencies. Sound and other tools, like crystals, gemstones, semi-precious stones, and in fact anything that is appropriate can be used in this healing modality. Even a tree! The appropriate vibrational frequency is applied to help remedy the imbalance, from whence you may be able to maintain your own equilibrium in harmony on all levels.

Means union, or the yoking together of body and spirit. It is one of the more ancient methods of healing and of raising consciousness. It is a powerful tool to attain illumination, and like India herself (from whence this comes), there are many levels of expression. Yoga is a general term for many different types of practices. The West is already familiar with Hatha Yoga, the practice of physical postures. However, there are more: Kriya Yoga includes breathing techniques, Tantric Yoga recognizes and aligns with the sexual energy, in the most profound awareness that sexual and spiritual are one, Bhatkti Yoga accentuates the path of devotion, Raja Yoga or the Royal Path, Kundalini Yoga also uses breathing techniques, and is concerned with the sacred energy of the spine, and so on. In each one, there is a profound technique of ancient knowledge, which can help you find what you are seeking on your life path.
